If you do not see an leak, I would use a degreaser product or engine cleaner product and clean that part of the engine. If you can remove the half under engine cover and clean it and put back on. Then monitor daily to see if something develops. Once a week take the lower cover off and look at it for oil. If found go back into dealer. Sandman.

Step 1: Gain access to the turbocharger. Start by removing the plastic engine cover from the cylinder head. Then, locate the ground wires for the coil packs and remove the nuts that secure them to the studs with a 10mm socket. Then use the same socket to remove the studs mounting the coils to the cylinder head. #3 has an oil leak that left it more moist than #1 but never enough to penetrate the threads. #4 is a disaster. Clearly there's a large leak on #4. It ran down the threads, causing them AND the electrode to show signs of burning oil. I have had an oil consumption issue, feels like it's been consuming around a quart every oil change.

Though I have used M1 0w-40 and GC 0w-30 in my 2.5 Rabbit, both are more than acceptable oils in their own right. I did notice the German Castrol had a smoothing effect on the big 5-cyl. Most of the forum posts and guides I saw for this car over-complicated replacing the air filter, so in case this is helpful for anyone else here you go!He
