At first I thought this was serious, but it transpired it was just the service interval indicator needed reseting. I had changed the oil and filter on schedule, but had been unable to find reference to resetting the service interval, and some 1000 - to 2000 miles later the "DPF" started flashing.

been dealing with a 08 sterling with a ISC dpf issue, this is the eng that has no 7th inj. replaced dpf 3 months ago all 3 temp sensors and pressure sensor. the driver re-gens every 2 days. its commanded by blinking regen light. this truck came in with amber check eng light on and dpf light blinking. temp dpf light is disabled scanned codes 2 active dont have code numbers with me but high
Plugged the car into the MUT 3 diagnostic system. Checked the Temp and pressure sensors and all were found to be working correctly. All systems were then reset/ calibrated. car now running OK. Will keep you updated on this. 800 miles so far since reset. For info both the RAC and my trusted local garage tried to gain access to the ECU and failed.
Mazda CX3 DPF problem was created by Loney911. Hi. I have Mazda CX3 1.5L diesel. One defective injector is replace and calibrated injectors. DPF is Cleaned using Diagnostic tool. Have been driving with a flashing dpf light illuminated for a few years, took it to a garage at this time when had a full service, supposably they did a successful regeneration but couldn’t turn light out (I didn’t take it into Mazda to reset which in hindsight was a mistake) Recently a tapping sound Cheat Sheet. MAZDA CX7 2.2D (2009 – 2014) DPF FORCED REGEN. The following procedure describes how to start DPF forced Regen without the dealer diagnostic tools. Make sure the engine is completely warm (important). Process will NOT work if the engine is not hot enough. Remove the dust cap from the plug see in pics below. After half-minute of driving at highway speed, the check engine light that is always on starts flashing. Codes are P0301 & P0302, but plugs 1 & 2 look good and plug 3 is carbon-fouled. Upon advice from this forum, I've added a gallon of acetone to a half-tank of gas to clean the injectors, which I haven't checked.
A cheap scantool (obd2 reader) would make your life easier and easier for other to give you advice knowing what the issue is. Blinking light can mean either high soot level or oil dilution. On dpf 2013 deisal. Lightstarts blinking every 3000k. Sometimes soot, sometimes oil dilution.
