FIX FOUND. Copy the 'Players' folder from your old machine, and replace the folder on the new machine, boot up MW2, wait for it to recognize the new campaign files, let it restart the game, boot up game again, and now all the campaign progress is loaded successfully. I'm trying to do the campaign at the moment and it's inconvenient having to launch the game, skip MOTD, scroll through all the options, click campaign and then have to reboot the game in campaign mode. It's gotten even worse with Warzone 2.0 getting released as an update to MW2 and I have to scroll and click even more to get to campaign.

Shit my game freezes mid match when I'm playing alone. Multi-billion dollar company and with hundreds if not thousands of people working on it for 3 years and they can't even make a stable game. Call of duty had more stable games 10 years ago with like 2-3 developers per game compared to the 6+ studios per game today
so when you first boot of the game when you have options to pick MW2 or MW3 DONT! instead go to settings, audio, expand master vol, and make sure dialogue is turned up. now heres my fix, go to every game type ( campaign, multiplayer, warzone) and do the same for each of them!! my setting dialogue setting was turned down in both the campaigns

I prefer faster movement like in Cold War but LMGs & Sniper should definitely slow you down. You can’t be doing 360° spins with a fucking sniper. 2. PowerPamaja. It prompts me to run the game in Safe mode but that changes nothing. Whenever I hit "resume mission" the game prompts me to restart Modern Warfare 2 and so I click the "proceed" button. After that the game does not successfully restart and I am left staring at the battle.net screen that says "Playing Now".
GMG also has it for 19.99, but it's on sale for like 10% off or something right now. Humble Bundle has it for 19.99 as well. The thing you have to remember is that Activision is greed incarnate. Even the first Call of Duty from 2003 is still $19.99. Black Ops 1 is even worse because it's $39.99 to this day.
