Its a time interval. It's set by the Audi tech that last worked on the car. Searched for "service light" and this came up in a bunch of threads Re: service light 1. Key in the ignition, but don't turn it yet. 2. Hold down the wrench button. 3. While holding that button, turn the key to the on position (don't need to start the car) 4.
Thx All you need to do is hold the little wrench button while at the same time turn the ignition (without turning on the engine) and then press the reset button while still holding the wrench button. It should then reset but for the first few weeks, it will display --- in the number of kms and days before next service.Igot the engine oil low warning. 2010 A6 2.0tdi 4f model. Oil level was low as the car needed an oil change. Changed filter and oil and level was now good, but warning light would not go out. Dis display was not showing the bonnet (hood) as being raised. Checked the bonnet switch and it was disconnected.
