And if my feet do get cold, I just put on a heavier sock. So I put in my order for these boots from Monod Sports in Banff. My boots showed up, and I immediately swapped out the factory insoles for my custom orthodic insoles. LOTS of room in the boot for new insoles. 06-Aug-08. He said Kenetrek because they are a brand of boot. Very well made at that, and look to be every bit as good as the Lowa. One big difference is the Lowa's tend to run narrower than the Kenetrek. My Sheep Hunters are almost too wide, so the Kenetrek is not even an option.
When I bought the Tibet's, I also tried some Hanwag Alaska's. Both boots were in a wide and the Lowa barely won out. Hanwag comes from the same lineage as Lowa boots. HANs WAGner started Hanwag in his home town of Jetzendorf Germany, just north of Munich. Hanwag is now located in Vierkirchen. His brother LOrenz WAgner started Lowa, which is still headquartered in Jetzendorf. Hanwag outsources a lot of their boot making to Croatia and Romania.

I have measured my foot using a Brannock device (the length and width measuring device that all shoe stores have) at a 10.5 D while wearing wool socks. The Tibets are legit stiff sole boots. If that is the type of boot that you are looking for, they are great. Once you get some miles on them, they will get a little bit of flex to them, but not a ton. With a heavy pack, the Tibets really earn their keep. Another option is the Lowa Ticam II boots. I am planning on doing a bit of hiking this year. I live in Austria so my choice of brands is mainly European. There is a store nearby and I am considering either the Lowa Renegade GTX or the Hanwag Cheyenne GTX. Does any of you have experience with these boots?. I want boots that will take me for 6 to 8 hours hike and the ocassional overnight.3 990 Kč 6 299 Kč. skladem. Detail produktu.
